Raman slams Cong-led Centre for hike in Diesel Price, Cut in Subsidised LPG

Dr.Raman Singh

Raipur, September 13, 2012: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today severely criticised the Congress led UPA Government at the Centre for steep hike in prices of diesel and cut in subsidised domestic LPG.

"This is anti-people, anti-poor and unrealistic decision, which will increase the inflation further," the Chief Minister said.

"It is impossible for any family to survive with six LPG cylinders," Singh said.

Strongly opposing the decision of the Centre, he said now the people would have to pay double for the cylinders after six, which would burden them further.

In a severe blow to the common men, Congress led UPA government today increased the price of diesel by Rs 5 and drastically cut the subsidy on the subsidised domestic LPG cylinders to a meager six a year.

The increase in diesel price by Rs 5 would make the transport services dearer and would also increase the cost of transportation, he said.
