Cong complaint against Raipur SP

Raipur, November 12, 2008: Main opposition Congress today said it had complaint to the Election Commission against the Raipur District Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar for his alleged biased attitude.

On what basis the raids were conducted on the office and residences of Congress party and its leaders yesterday, questioned PCC Executive President Charan Das Mahant, while talking to ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com today.

Strongly reacting to police raid in Raipur, he said on what basis the administration had carried out the raids on the Congress office here.

PCC General Secretary Subhash Sharma also pulled up the district administration for the raid.

On what basis the district administration had carried raids on his house yesterday on the allegation of hoarding liquor for distribution in assembly election, Sharma questioned.

After playing with the dignity of the leaders, the district administration was now apologetic, Sharma said.

The Election Commission has been complaint about the biased attitude of the administration and especially of the District Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar, who had ordered for the raid on the office and residence of the Congress leaders, he said.
