Raipur, October 10, 2024: The Central Government today released tax devolution of ₹ 1,78,173 crore to State Governments, including ₹ 6070 crore to Chhattisgarh.
This release was against the normal monthly devolution of ₹89,086.50 crore. It includes one advance instalment, in addition to the regular instalment due in October, 2024.
This release is in view of the upcoming festive season and to enable States to accelerate capital spending, and also finance their development/welfare related expenditure.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the allotment of tax share.
At the time of festival, this is an excellent gift to the people of the state from the Government of India.
This will strengthen the financial condition of the state, the Chief Minister added.
This would also help in completion of developmental projects in the state.
