Govt suspend Executive Engineer
Raipur, January 21, 2011: Chhattisgarh government today suspended an executive engineer of the Public Works Department on allegation of causing loss to the state exchequer.
P K Benerjee, Executive Engineer of Bilaspur Division No 2 has been suspended with immediate effect and his headquarters has been fixed at Raipur, a government order said here.
Benerjee has been accused of spending more money than allotment for the annual repair and approving tenders on higher rate than the approved rate, thus giving benefit to the contractors and causing loss to the state exchequer, the order said.
