SerjiusMinj

Raipur, April 1, 2011: Serjius Minj, who retired yesterday as the Additional Chief Secretary of Chhattisgarh Government, was today administered oath as the Chief Information Commissioner of the state.

A government release, however, said Governor Shekhar Dutt administered oath to Minj, in the presence of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, Agriculture Minister Chandrasekhar Sahu.

Main job of Minj would be to promote transparency, but surprisingly, his oath ceremony was made secretively with out inviting the media.

Even an MLA of Chhattisgarh was not allowed to enter the Raj Bhawan to witness the oath ceremony by the security personnel.

As such the Chhattisgarh Raj Bhawan has a history of administering oath of office to a Minister without inviting media in the past.
