Raipur, May 03, 2011: Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, in a strong decision, removed R K Sharma from the post of Principal Chief Conservator of Forest of Chhattisgarh.
Dhirendra Kumar Sharma was today appointed as the new PCCF in place of R K Sharma, state Forest officials said here.
Disgraced PCCF has swapped position with Sharma.
Dhirendra Sharma was functioning as the Managing Director of the Forest Development Corporation and now R K Sharma has taken his position, they added.
For last couple of months there were reports of activities to install a new PCCF, but the government was always dismissing such reports.
The uncontrolled infighting in the Forest headquarters was said to be the reason of losing seat by R K Sharma. Otherwise, he was known as a decent office.
