Know your GFP balance through SMS
Raigarh, November 28, 2011: All the General Provident Fund accounts holders of Chhattisgarh could now be informed of the balance of their account through SMS.
Every month, through SMS, the account holders would be informed about the status of their account, official sources said here today.
However, one has to send details of their account to receive SMS every month regularly, they said.
To avail the SMS facility, one has to send the name of the DDO, series GPF account number, Name of the account holder and their mobile number has to be sent to the Comptroller and Auditor General, Chhattisgarh and a copy to the respective District Treasury, they said.
