Raipur, December 10, 2011: Unhappy with the style of functioning of Avinash Mohanty, Chhattisgarh Government today removed him from the post of District Superintendent of Police Dhamtari.
Mohanty was removed from the post tonight after the Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh visited his district Dhamtari today, officials said.
Although officially it was stated that he was shifted from there on administrative ground, but sources claimed, the Chief Minister was thoroughly annoyed with his style of functioning and lack of capability to understand the gravity of a situation.
Mohanty is posted in the Police Headquarters as Additional Inspector General.
The Government has not named any official to be posted as SP Dhamtari.
