Raipur, December 20, 2011: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today categorically stated that the state BJP government would not allow foreign direct investment in the retail sector in Chhattisgarh.
"I am strongly against the FDI in retail sector and as long as BJP is ruling the state, it will never allow FDI in retail sector," Singh said here today.
The policy of the Congress-led government at the Centre was anti-people, he said adding FDI in retail sector would ruin the business of small and marginal businessmen.
The Central policy was against the interest of the small and petty businessmen, Singh said.
