Raipur, December 28, 2011: Chhattisgarh government has decided to provide an insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh to each of the registered journalist of the state.
The insurance scheme would cover the registered journalists of various news organizations, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said here today.
Singh also told the function of working journalists here that the state government was seriously considering the proposal to launch a pension scheme for the journalists.
In both the schemes the owners of the news organisations would have importation participation, he said indicating that the owners would also share the financial burden of implementation of both the schemes.
