Formal inauguration of Sukma District on Jan 16

Dantewada, January 05, 2012: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh will formally inaugurate the newly created Sukma district on January 16, next, officials said today.

Amid impressive programme at the Mini Stadium, the new district of Sukma would be inaugurated by the Chief Minister, officials from Sukma district said.

Public Health Engineering and Tribal Minister Kedar Kashyap today took a meeting of the officials of the new district at Sukma Collectorate and reviewed the progress.

District Collector Alex V F Paul Menon said a mini marathon would also be organised on that occasion, in which any one above the age of 14 can participate.

The Chief Minister would also inaugurate the new Collectorate building on that day, Menon said.
