Separate educational institutes for Maoists victims



Raipur, April 06, 2012: Chhattisgarh government has drafted an ambitious plan to impart special education to the children affected by the Maoists violence in the state.

Chhattisgarh Government has decided to open two educational institutes at Durg and Bastar districts for the violence hit students of the state, officials said.

Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other backward Section students, who are affected by the Maoists violence, would be enrolled in those institutes, they said.

Science and Commerce would be given special focus in the two institutes, the sources said.

The state government has earmarked Rs 25.00 lakh for opening of the 500 seater boys institute and a 500-seater institute for girls in the fiscal 2012-2013, they added.
