Raipur, January 20, 2013: About 25 lakh children were today administered police vaccine in Chhattisgarh on the first phase of the campaign this year, official said.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Amar Agrawal launched the national programme in the state by administering polio drop to children at the Bilaspur District Hospital.
About 80 per cent children of the state were today covered under the national pulse polio campaign, official sources said.
Through 23,800 polio booths, about 25 lakh children between the age group of zero to five years were administered police drops, they said.
The state was targetting to cover 35.80 lakh children of the state.
"Our health staff will visit door to door tomorrow and the day after to administer polio drops to all the targetted children of the state," the officials said.
