Raipur, January 22, 2013: After creating small districts, Chhattisgarh cabinet, Chaired by Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, today decided to divide the revenue blocks of the state.
After the division of big districts for better governance, the government wanted to give the bigger revenue blocks a proper size, official sources said.
As a part of that the state cabinet today approved a proposal to constitute a single member Commission for re-organisation of revenue blocks, the sources said.
This Commission would be asked to submit its report with in 90 days, they said.
Currently Chhattisgarh has 144 blocks.
The Cabinet also approved a proposal to constitute Milk Federation in the state.
