No Privatisation of Forest Rest Houses: Minister



Raipur, April 05, 2013: Chhattisgarh government today clarified that the forest rest houses and tourism hotels in Barnawapara area would not be privatized.

"The Tourism hotels, Rest houses and Tourist huts, located in the Barnawapara sanctuary area, will not be handed over to private people," Forest Minister Vikram Usendi said in a departmental review meeting here.

Rather for its better management, a new system would be introduced soon, he said.

He directed the department to submit such a proposal before April 25.

Principal Secretary Forest Sunil Kumar Kujur was also present in that meeting.
