A N Upadhyaya new DGP
Raipur, March 01, 2014: Bypassing his seniors Amarnath Upadhyaya has been appointed today as the new Director General of Police of Chhattisgarh.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today cleared his file of posting as the next DGP.
Currently Giridhari Nayak is the senior most IPS of Chhattisgarh. However, Chief Minister preferred a junior on the post of DGP.
Only yesterday Upadhyaya was promoted as DG from Additional DG-Administration.
Today Upadhyaya took over charges as the full time DGP also.
