Over 74 per cent voting in Mahasamund LS Seat

Mahasamund, April 17, 2014: High profile Mahasamund Lok Sabha seat registered over 74 per cent polling today.

A total of 74.61 per cent voters exercised their rights today in Mahasamund parliamentary seat of Chhattisgarh, Election officials said.

A total of 27 candidates are in the poll battle in Mahasamund.

However, prominent among them are former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi from Congress and sitting BJP MP Chandulal Sahu.

Interestingly there are eight Chandulal Sahu, including the BJP candidate and three Chanduram Sahu in the constituency and BJP accused Ajit Jogi of fielding so many Chandus in the seat to confuse the voters.
