Kanker, August 30, 2014: Twelve out of 14 candidates have withdrawn their nominations for the Antagarh Assembly by-election.
"Only two candidates are now in the fray in Antagarh by-poll," Kanker district Collector Alarmelmangai D said.
BJP and Ambedkar Party are now locked in a straight fight in Antagarh by-poll, she said.
Along with Congress candidate Mangtu Ram Pawar, a total of 12 candidates, have withdrawn their nominations.
The Antagarh Assembly by-election would be held on September 13 and the counting of votes on September 16.
After Vikram Usendi elected to Lok Sabha from Kanker as a BJP candidate he had vacated the Antagarh seat.
