Governor to inaugurate Rajyotshav
Raipur, October 27, 2014: Chhattisgarh Governor Balram Jee Das Tandon would be the Chief Guest in the Rajyotshav programme.
Interestingly the foundation date of Chhattisgarh and the Birth day of the Governor are the same.
Governor Balram Jee Das Tandon was born on November 1, 1927 where as Chhattisgarh was created on November 1, 2000.
The Rajyotshav programme would be presided over by the Chief Mister Dr Raman Singh, where the Governor would be the Chief Guest, official sources said.
Assembly Speaker Gauri Shankar Agrawal would be the Chief Guest in the closing ceremony.
The State foundation day or Rajyotshav would be this time celebrated for three days from November 1, officials said.
The state government wanted Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be the Chief Guest in the Rajyotshav and sought his time for that.
