With GAD approval proceeded to Delhi: Devasenapathi
Raipur, February 04, 2015: Dantewada District Collector K C Devasenapathi today submitted his reply to the State Election Commission.
In his reply Devasenapathi claimed he had prior approval of the General Administration Department before proceeding to Delhi.
"We have received his reply and examining that," Election Commission sources said.
Unauthorised absent from the district headquarters and for not taking Panchayat election works seriously, a show cause notice was served on the 2007 batch IAS officer.
The State Election Commission was annoyed with K C Devasenapathi as he was asked not to go to Delhi. But the IAS officer refused to listen to the state Election Commission and despite disapprove proceeded to Delhi, Election Commission sources had said.
The Commission asked the District Collector why not he be suspended for his act of indiscipline.
Devasenapathi had been asked to submit his reply by 4 PM of February 4 and he submitted his reply in time.
