Birgaon Corporation election on November 16

Raipur, September 27, 2015: Chhattisgarh Election Commission Prafull Chandra Dalei today declared the Birgaon municipal corporation election schedule.

The poll to elect members for the Birgaon Municipal Corporation would be held on November 16, Dalei said.

Counting of votes will take place on November 19, he said.

However, Congress party opposed the date saying they had in writing demanded before the Election Commission not to conduct poll between Chhat and Deepawali.

But the demand of the Congress party was ignored while deciding the date for the poll, said Raipur Rural Congress MLA Satya Narayan Sharma.
