Folk Singer Mamata Chandrakar gets Padamshree award
Raipur, January 25, 2016: Famous folk artist Mamata Chandrakar was today selected for the Padamshree award by the Government of India.
Mamata Chandrakar is also the Station Director of All India Radio Raipur.
Governor Bhagwanjee Das Tandon and Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh were among the first to congratulate her for this honour.
She has been nominated for the award for her contribution to the field of folk song.
