CM Raman urges FM Jaitley to allocate Rs 4000 Cr for Bastar

New Delhi, February 09, 2016: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today met the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and urged him to sanction Rs 4000 crore for the development of Bastar.

For Bastar Development scheme, Jaitley has been requested to allocate Rs 4000 crore from the Union Budget, said Singh.

There was every need for central assistance for Bastar as that area has been facing the Maoists problem for a longer period and most of the areas are inaccessible and to take school, hospital and road huge amount of finance was required, he said.

During his meeting with Jaitley, Principal Secretary Aman Singh, Industry Secretary Subodh Kumar Singh and other officials were present.
