Separate Flag for Chhattisgarh Jail Dept
Raipur, March 05, 2016: Chhattisgarh Government has approved a separate flag for the Jail Department.
Hence forth the jail department would have a separate flag, for which recently the Home Department has issued notification, official sources said.
This new flag would be hoisted at the Jail headquarters and all jails of the state from sunrise to sunset, the notification said adding this special flag would be unfurled below the height of the National Flag.
This was the first time after the inception of Chhattisgarh that the Jail and Correctional Services Departmental flag would be unfurled in all jails of the state.
