Raipur, September 2, 2016: Chhattisgarh Government today banned the Chetna Natya Manch, a cultural outfit of Maoist.
Chetna Natya Manch (CNM) is declared a banned organization by the Chhattisgarh government under the Chhattisgarh Special Public Security Act-2005 (Chhattisgarh Vishesh Jan Suraksha Adhiniyam), government sources said.
The State Home Department has banned CNM till August 15, 2017, they added.
The banned order was implemented with immediate effect.
The state government believed CNM is the propaganda and cultural wing of the CPI (Maoist), who is engaged in instigating the tribals against India and its state governments through songs, dance, drama and culture.
