Sarguja University named after Sant Gahira Guru
Ambikapur, September 03, 2016: Newly formed Sarguja University would be named after Sant Gahira Guru, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh announced here today.
Addressing a function to inaugurate the Ambikapur medical College here, Singh said his government has received demands from various people to name the university after the prominent social reformer of that area Sant Gahira Guru.
Looking into the demand the University has been named after Sant Gahira Guru, he said amid clapping from the people.
After Sarguja University, the medial college in Ambikapur will definitely help the people of area in higher education, he said adding with the setting up of the medical college he has fulfilled another promise made to the people of Sarguja area.
