Raipur, October 27, 2022: A local court in Raipur today send Chhattisgarh cadre IAS Sameer Vishnoi and two others to 14 days judicial remand after they were produced by the Enforcement Directorate following interrogation.
After completion of the ED remand, a Raipur local court sent IAS Sameer Vishnoi and two others Sunil Agrawal and Lakshmikant Tiwari to 14-days judicial remand, sources said.
The three would now be produced before a magistrate on November 10, next, they added.
All have been sent to Raipur Central jail and if needed during the course of investigation, ED may further seek permission to interrogate them, the sources said.
The Enforcement Directorate on October 13, 2022 arrested a 2009-batch IAS Sameer Vishnoi two days after the central agency raided premises of the senior officials, politicians and businessmen in the state.
Vishnoi was that time posted as CEO of the CHiPS and Managing Director of the State Cooperative Marketing Federation (Markfed).
