New Coal and Defence Secretaries assume charges
New Delhi, November 01, 2022: Two senior IAS officers today assumed charges as the new Coal and Defence Secretaries.
Amrit Lal Meena, a 1989 Bihar Cadre IAS today took over charges as the Coal Secretary of the Government of India, official sources said.
Meena took over from Dr Anil Kumar Jain, who has retired from service as Secretary, Coal yesterday.
Meanwhile, Giridhar Aramane, a 1988-batch Andhra Pradesh cadre IAS, assumed the office of Defence Secretary.
Prior to his current assignment Aramane was Secretary Road Transport & Highways in the Government of India,
