Kanker, November 17, 2022: Congress Candidate Savitri Mandavi and BJP candidate Brahmanand Netam today filed nominations for the December 5 Bhanupratappur assembly by-election and claimed victory.
The tribals and OBC will take revenge from Congress through this by-election for cheating with them in the name of reservation, BJP candidate Netam said.
BJP state President Arun Sao alleged that the constituency had been neglected by the Congress party.
The state government was engaged in corrupt practices and the people will take revenge this time through the by-election, claimed former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh.
Dr Raman Singh called upon the people to teach the Congress government a lesson for not fulfilling its poll promises.
However, PCC President Mohan Markam said, BJP will get defeated for the fifth time in the by-poll after 2018 assembly election.
Savitri Mandavi will win the election with a huge margin, Markam said.
People from Dantewada, Chitrakot, Marwahi and Khairagarh had rejected the BJP during the by-elections and after Savitri Mandavi filed nomination it is clear that the Congress will win with a huge margin, the PCC President said.
Also targeting Dr Raman Singh, the PCC Chief said, the former Chief Minister has lost contact with the people and was now confined to social media only.
