Odisha demands GST abolition on tendu leave trade
Bhubaneswar, November 29, 2022: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has demanded from the Centre complete withdrawal of GST on the collection of the tendu leave.
The ruling BJD has also criticised the Narendra Modi government on its tendu leave policy.
Criticising the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre over imposition of 18 per cent GST on tendu leaf trade, the Biju Janata Dal has demanded complete withdrawal of GST on the tendu leave trade.
Like Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, Odisha has also been engaged in tendu leave trade for last many decades.
