BJP Candidate Brahmanand a rape accused, claims Congress
Raipur, November 30, 2022: In a sensational allegation, ruling Congress today claimed the BJP candidate in the Bhanupratappur by-poll is involved in a rape case.
"It is unfortunate that the BJP has made a rape accused Brahmanand Netam as a candidate for assembly by-poll," PCC President Mohan Markam claimed.
Jharkhand police was here to arrest the accused but the BJP has been protecting a criminal, claimed Markam.
This has exposed the actual character of BJP, Congress claimed.
A case under 376 and other sections had been lodged on May 15, 2019 in Jharkhand, when BJP was in power in that state, Congress said adding instead of protecting an accused the BJP should cooperate with the police.
However, BJP alleged sensing defeat in the by-poll ruling congress was involved in character assassination.
