Mahasamund, December 14, 2022: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today said migration from the state has stopped after Congress came to power due to better welfare schemes of his government.
Because of the better welfare schemes of the state government migration has stopped from the state, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel told a meeting at Bagarpali village in Khallari area of Mahasamund district.
During interactions with locals and review meetings of the schemes, it had come to light in Jashpur, Janjgir Champa, Mahasamund and other districts that the forced migration has stopped in the state.
People are no longer going to others states in search of bread and butter as they have been getting employment opportunities with the state, he said.
The village gothans and other initiatives of the state government have started yielding good results in not only opening up employment opportunities at the rural level, but also financially strengthening the local populace, he said.
