Raipur, December 22, 2022: Chhattisgarh government today said it has made a policy to give 10 per cent subsidy on purchase of electric vehicles.
To promote use of electric vehicle, the state government has decided to give a subsidy of 10 per cent of the cost of vehicle, Transport Minister Mohammad Akbar said today.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel wanted to promote electric vehicles in the state and accordingly a policy had been formulated, Minister Akbar said.

To avail the subsidy, the purchaser of the electric vehicle had to give the dealer his account number and the IFS Code of his bank.
Ten per cent of the cost of vehicle up to maximum of Rs 1.5 lakh would be transferred to the bank account of the purchaser of the electric vehicle by the state Transport Department.
