Jagdalpur, August 12, 2009: One of the Tehsildars of Chhattisgarh was found in intoxicated condition, while performing law and order duty, during the visit of one of the cabinet ministers in Bastar region of the state.
When Tribal Welfare and Public Health Engineering Minister Kedar Kashyap was on a tour of Bastar Panchayat area, the District Administration had deployed Tehsildar G R Nagesh on the law and order duty.
However, the Minister found the government servant allegedly in inebriated condition and asked the District Collector to take action against him, officials told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
After it was confirmed in the report of the District Collector, the Tehsildar has been suspended by the Bastar Commissioner Manoj Kumar Pingua, they said.
Bastar District Collector Manohar Singh Paraste has also confirmed the incident.
Nagesh had also attracted action during the electioneering for the same reason, officials said adding this time he has been charged with serious indiscipline during performing official duty and during the period of suspension his headquarters would be Jagdalpur, they said.
