Rajyotshav-2009

Raipur, November 1, 2009: Chhattisgarh Governor ESL Narasimhan today called for eradicating backwardness of the state.

After inaugurating the Ninth Foundation Day function of Chhattisgarh at Raipur this late evening, the Governor also honoured eminent people from various walks of life, but Bilaspur Collector Sonmani Borah was missing from the list as his name was deleted by the Government earlier in the day.

Chhattisgarh can be made one of the most prosperous states if the backwardness, illiteracy, poverty and lack of road communication are eradicated, said Narasimhan.

Stating that education provides a solid base to development, he said to achieve higher growth rate, development of the human resources are most essential for the state.

Narasimhan also underlined the importance of food security in the state and called for giving its benefit to the actual beneficiaries.
