Tribal kills 5 of his family, commit suicide
Raigarh, November 11, 2009: After killing five of his family members, a tribal has hanged himself to death in a bizarre incident in Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh.
Santosh Majhi (40) had allegedly hacked to death his mother, wife, two daughters and a son before committing suicide by hanging himself yesterday, Raigarh District Superintendent of Police Rahul Sharma told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
The incident took place at Oraiguda village under Gharghoda police station, about 45 km from Raigarh district headquarters.
Santosh had allegedly lost his mental balance due to economic crisis and that was said to be the reason of the unnatural death of six persons.
Police said they are waiting for a final investigation report to reach a conclusion.
