Dantewada, January 6, 2010: Amidst heavy police presence, Maoists today killed a villager and triggered landmine blast injuring Dantewada Additional SP and one SPO in two separate incidents in hyper sensitive Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.
Kunjam Muya was abducted yesterday from his house in Jaggawaram village by Maoists accusing him of a police informer and today his body was recovered from a road side, about three km from Maraiguda Police Station in Dantewada, police said.
Meanwhile, Maoists triggered a landmine blast targetting a police vehicle, in which Additional District Superintendent of Police D S Maravi and one Special Police Officer Bhunesh were injured.
The pressure mine blast took place at Gorkha under Bheji Police Station of Dantewada district.
Dantewada SP Ambrish Mishra said Additional SP Maravi had received minor injuries where as the SPO was seriously injured in the incident.
