Raipur, March 12, 2010: After completing over a year in office during his second innings, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has started evaluating the works to improve performance of his Government.
Recently Singh had a meeting, in which he had asked the members of his legislative party to give him feedback on the performance of his government and the administration, officials told ChhattisgarhTopNews.com.
Taking the process further, the Chief Minister has convened a conference of the District Collectors tomorrow to review the works at the district level.
Besides the performance, this time the conference would mostly focus on the summer season and the preparedness of the administration, they said.
The Collector of a tribal district said the CM Office has asked them to come with the blue print on the plan to face the water shortage during summer among other things.
Massive agriculture and industrialisation have put a pressure on the availability of water in the state and the Government wanted to underline the importance of water conservation in a large scale and as a part of that the Government had also asked all the district collectors to come with the details of statistics on the topic, another Collector said.
However, one the District Collector said the Government had started evaluation work at the district level, which means there could soon be a bureaucratic reshuffle on the basis of this feedback.
