PHE Kawardha EE, Kathghora SDO Suspend

Bilaspur, June 03, 2010: Chhattisgarh Administration has suspended the Public Health Engineering Executive Engineer of Kawardha G R Lakhera and Kathghora Sub Divisional Officer A L Sheikh.

PHE Minister Kedar Kashyap has expressed strong displeasure over the slow pace of work on total sanitary programme in Kawardha district during a review meeting and ordered for suspension of Kawardha Executive Engineer G R Lakhera, officials said at Raipur.

Similarly Bilaspur Divisional Commissioner R P Jain has suspended the PHE SDO Kathghora of Korba District A L Sheikh for remaining absent from his service for a longer period, officials said today at Bilaspur.

During the suspension period the SDO is attached to the office of the Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Panchayat Korba, the officials said.

It is said that the PHE SDO was absent from his place of posting for over a week without any information, when Korba district was reeling under severe water crisis.

Because of that he was suspended yesterday, they said.
