Narayan Singh becomes Principal Secretary
Raipur, September 02, 2010: Controversial IAS officer Narayan Singh was today given promotion as the Principal Secretary by the Government of Chhattisgarh.
Singh, a batch mate of the current Chief Secretary P Joy Oommen had been denied promotion earlier following adverse remark.
However, the General Administration Department issued the order of promotion of the 1977 batch IAS today as a Principal Secretary.
After promotion he was posted on the same departments as the Principal Secretary Forest, Technical Education, Science and Technology.
From the date of assuming services he would be entitled for the new pay scale, the order said.
