Ambikapur, November 6, 2025: President Droupadi Murmu will attend the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas (Tribal Pride Day) programme being organized in memory of Bhagwan Birsa Munda on November 20 at Ambikapur, the divisional headquarters of Sarguja in Chhattisgarh.
In view of President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to Ambikapur on November 20 to commemorate the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas organized in memory of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Principal Secretary Tribal Development Department Sonmoni Borah visited the venue today to review the preparations and provided necessary instructions to the officials involved in the programme.

Borah first reached the Gandhi Stadium and inspected the helipad site being prepared for the President’s arrival. He closely reviewed the security arrangements, arrival and departure routes, the strength of the helipad, and the cleanliness of the surrounding area and gave necessary instructions to the officials.
After this, he visited the PG. college ground, and reviewed the preparations for the main event venue. The Principal Secretary inspected the dome pandal being built at the PG College ground, seating arrangements, VIP gate, traffic barricades, entry and exit gates, decoration of stalls, security arrangements, cleanliness, drinking water arrangements, parking arrangements, electricity arrangements, and the cultural stage.

He directed the officials that all arrangements should be completed as per the standards and in an aesthetic manner before the arrival of the President.
Borah also inspected the preparations for the seminar to be held in the PG College auditorium. He instructed the officials of the concerned departments to ensure that the event is well organized and timely completed. During the inspection, officers and employees including Sarguja Divisional Commissioner Narendra Dugga, Collector Vilas Bhoskar, Senior Superintendent of Police Rajesh Agarwal were present.
