Raipur, November 14, 2025: The Chhattisgarh Cabinet today decided to procure pulses and oilseeds during the Kharif and Rabi marketing seasons under the “Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyaan” Price Support Scheme (PSS).
The Cabinet meeting, held today at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, has decided to procure pulses and oilseeds during the Kharif and Rabi marketing seasons under the “Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyaan” Price Support Scheme (PSS), as in previous years.

It is noteworthy that under the Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyaan, arhar, gram, urad, groundnut, and soybean are procured at the support price during the Kharif marketing season, and pulses and oilseeds such as gram, mustard, and lentils are procured during the Rabi season at the support price.
The arrangement for procurement of pulses and oilseeds at the support price in the state’s mandis maintains market competition, which allows farmers to receive better prices for their produce, official sources said.

Also, with the aim of smoothly operating the system of paddy procurement at the support price in the state, the Council of Ministers decided to revalidate the government guarantee of Rs 15,000 crore approved for banks and financial institutions for procurement of paddy at the support price for the Kharif marketing year 2024-25 for the Kharif marketing year 2025-26 and also to provide additional government guarantee amount of Rs 11,200 crore to the Marketing Federation.
