Raipur, November 14, 2025: The Vishnu Dev Sai Cabinet today decided to lease the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Nava Raipur to the Chhattisgarh State Cricket Association for long-term full-fledged operation.
In a cabinet meeting held today at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, an important decision was taken to lease the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium to the Chhattisgarh State Cricket Association for long-term full-fledged operation and development work, as per the contract, official sources said.

This decision will provide high-level training and technical facilities to the state’s budding cricket players, the sources said.
Official sources stated that this decision will ensure the hosting of more national and international cricket matches in Chhattisgarh.
In addition, the Council of Ministers made important decisions to amend the Chhattisgarh Government of Business (Allocation) Rules, merging the Department of Public Enterprises with the Department of Commerce and Industry, and the Department of Twenty Point Implementation with the Department of Planning, Economics, and Statistics.
The state government stated that this decision is another important step towards promoting good governance in government work. Its objective is to ensure the implementation of “Minimum Government, Maximum Governance.”

The Council of Ministers granted permission for the sale of the state-sponsored Deendayal Housing Scheme, Atal Housing Scheme, Atal Vihar Scheme, and Nava Raipur Chief Minister Housing Scheme by incorporating additional eligibility provisions into the previously issued terms and conditions.
After three advertisements for the sale of EWS and LIG buildings and flats, unsold buildings can be sold to beneficiaries from any income group other than the eligible beneficiaries. However, such beneficiaries will not be eligible for government-approved grants. Only beneficiaries within the specified income group will be eligible for the grant.
After 3 advertisements for the sale of EWS and LIG buildings and flats, if a proposal is made by a single person or government/semi-government or private institutions to purchase more than one property (Bulk Purchase) for the unsold buildings, then more than one building can be sold as per demand in the name of a single person or government/semi-government or private institution, but they will not be eligible for the grant approved by the government.
According to the Cabinet, wide publicity of this decision will be ensured, so that maximum beneficiaries can benefit from it.
