     Raipur, November 16, 2025: At least three cadre of the banned organization Communist Party of India (Maoist) were shot dead today in an encounter with the security forces in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, a top police officer said.

     “On specific information the security forces carried out an operation in the Tumalpad Jungle and in an encounter three Maoists were shot dead,” Sukma District Superintendent of Police (SP) Kiran Chauhan told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.

     On specific intelligence inputs the forces were moved to the Tumalpad forest in Sukma district, where both the Maoists and security forces had exchange of fires in the early morning today and in that three Maoists were killed, the SP said.

     All the three Maoist commanders, two female and one male, were carrying Rs 5 lakh reward each on their head, Chauhan said.

     “Bodies have been identified and among the three was one sniper specialist Madvi Deva,” the police officer said.

     Police have recovered Barrel Grenade Launcher (BGL), Rifles, weapons and explosive materials during search operation of that area, Chauhan said.

     This year only government forces have killed 233 Maoists rebels of various ranks and files, including their supreme commander (General Secretary of CPI (Maoist) Nambala Keshava Rao alias Basavraj in the state of Chhattisgarh in an attempt to root out the violent Maoist movement in the region.
