     Raipur, September 29, 2025: Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister of Public Works Arun Sao today laid the foundation stone for three bridges to be constructed at a cost of over Rs 117 crore on Ring Road No. 2, Hirapur Chowk (Ganpat Chowk) in the capital city Raipur.

     The Public Works Department will construct three overpasses on Ring Road No. 2 in Raipur. These include an overpass near Bengali Hotel on Jarwai Road at a cost of Rs 23.89 crore, Rs 49.40 crore at Hirapur Chowk, and near the Reliance Petrol Pump at Sarora Chowk at a cost of Rs 43.76 crore.

     With the construction of overpasses at these three intersections, the entire urban area, along with over 2 lakh citizens of Hirapur, Atari, Jarwai, Tendua, Guma, Kota, and Mohaba Bazaar, will have easy, streamlined, and hassle-free transportation between Tatibandh and Bhanpuri.

      Addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony, Deputy Chief Minister Sao extended his greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of Navratri and Vijayadashami.

     He said that the government led by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai is celebrating the Atal Nirman Varsh. With the resolve, “We have built it, we will build it,” the government is continuously implementing public welfare schemes for the benefit of the people of the state and is continuously working to improve the capital city of Raipur.

      He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a historic decision regarding GST reform towards making the country a developed nation. This is the first scheme in the country that will provide savings to 1.4 billion citizens on all items, from small items like soap and biscuits to cars and computers. The GST Savings Festival began on the first day of Navratri, directly benefiting the nation. This has created history in the direction of developing India.

      Addressing the programme, Raipur MP Brijmohan Agrawal said that Vishnu Dev Sai is ensuring the development of Raipur city as a capital.

     Former PWD minister and senior BJP MLA Rajesh Munat said that Chief Minister Sai’s government is concerned about poor families. We will ensure that all schemes designed to provide basic amenities to the residents of the capital are completed within the stipulated time frame. The construction of this overpass road will facilitate transportation.

     MLA Motilal Sahu and Mayor Meenal Choubey also addressed the programme. On this occasion, MLAs Sunil Soni, Purandar Mishra, Municipal Corporation Chairman Suryakant Rathore, Ward Councilor Ramhin Kurre and councilors of various wards and Ramesh Singh Thakur, Municipal Corporation Commissioner along with local people’s representatives, departmental officers and a large number of people were present.
