Raipur, November 26, 2012: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today appointed Ramniwas as the new Director General of Police.
Ramniwas will replace Anil M Navaney as the next Director General of Police, a state government order said here.
Navaney would be retiring on November 30, 2012, the state Home Department order said.
Ramniwas is a 1982 batch IPS and active in various sports activities.
Currently he is posted as the Special Director General of Chhattisgarh Armed Force and Anti-Maoists operation.
