Narayanpur, November 11, 2008: At least three naxalites were killed today by the Narayanpur district Police of Chhattisgarh in a gun battle and also recovered arms and explosives.
About seven Maoists must have been killed but the bodies of three of them have been recovered by the police, Narayanpur police sources told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
After a fierce gun battle near Khod village, about 13 km from the district headquarters, police also recovered six country made rifles and one five KG tiffin bomb, to be used as an improvised explosive devise, the sources said.
Searching of the area was under progress, they said adding the naxalites might have taken with them the dead bodies of four Maoists.
