Raipur, October 03, 2016: Chhattisgarh would celebrate its foundation day Rajyotshav for five days, instead of a single day and Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be invited for the function.
A high level meeting, chaired by the Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, decided to have the five days long Rajyotshav from November 1, official sources said.
It was also decided to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate the Rajyotshav function, they added.
During the Rajyotshav, the statue of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya would be unveiled and the Jungle Safari would be inaugurated by the Prime Minister at Naya Raipur, the sources said.
People with outstanding performances in various fields would be honoured and also an exhibition of the developmental works of the state would be opened for the people during that occasion.
PWD Minister Rajesh Munat, Rural Development Minister Ajay Chandrakar, Chief Secretary Vivek Kumar Dhand, Additional Chief Secretary N Baijendra Kumar, Principal Secretary Aman Kumar Singh, Director Public Relations Rajesh Sukumar Toppo and other officials were present in that meeting.
