Raipur, March 15, 2023: Under the ambitious Godhan Nyay Yojana so far Rs 419.25 crore has been transferred to its beneficiaries by the Chhattisgarh Government, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said today.
So far 107.75 tons of cow dung had been purchased by various gauthans of the state, he said.
The Chief Minister today transferred online to the gauthan societies and women groups Rs 7.04 crore under the Godhan Nyay Yojana.
It is a matter of pride that many of the gauthan societies have become self-sufficient, the Chief Minister said.
To encourage such societies it has now been decided to give some honourarium to the President and Secretaries of the Gauthan societies.
It was really a pleasure to know that various products are being made from cow dung in the state, including generation of power, Baghel said adding the Domarpal unit of Bastar has been synchronised with the grid and the power would be purchased Rs 9 per unit.
