Raipur, July 25, 2023: In a stern message, the Chhattisgarh government today asked all the contractual employees, who are on strike, to resume their duties in three days’ time.

All the contractual employees, who are on strike, need to join their duties in three days’ time, else action will be taken against them under the essential service maintenance act or ESMA, the state government said.

The state government said it had sympathetically considered the demands of the employees and increased their salaries. In spite of that they are on strike.

Those officers and employees are unauthorisedly on strike for a longer period hampering the works of the people and the government, the General Administration Department (GAD) said.

The state government also threatened to take alternate steps to deploy other people in the place if the agitating employees do not resume services.
